1 Mondello
One of the best sandy beaches in Sicily is Mondello, a favorite among the people of Palermo. You will have the opportunity to dive into crystal clear turquoise waters. All guests can use canoes, SUPs, water scooters, and tenders to get closer to the coast, enter the caves, and swim in the marine protected areas. Virtual Tour During the trip, our guests can take a virtual dive, experience the underwater world in 4K, and learn about and interact with the fish that inhabit this beautiful area of the Mediterranean.
2 Capo Gallo Nature Reserve
A few miles away, just beyond Monte Gallo, which separates the two gulfs of Mondello and Sferracavallo, lies the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve. Given the karstic nature of the rocks, the sea has shaped them into the most bizarre forms, creating a series of fascinating caves, such as the Grotta dell'Olio, which is somewhat reminiscent of the famous Blue Grotto of Capri. To access most of the rocky coastline of the reserve, where you can admire shrub species typical of the Mediterranean scrub, you need to arrive by sea, as there are no land connections. For this reason, naturism is often practiced in the central part of the reserve. The coastline is a succession of coves, ideal for enjoying the beauty of nature in tranquility. The waters in the area are very clean and rich in flora and fauna: a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Masks, fins, and water scooters are available for you to dive into our seabed.
3 Sferracavallo
One of the most characteristic seaside villages in the city, where the crystal-clear sea meets the unspoiled nature and timeless beauty of the island. Between dips and swims, you will come into contact with the culinary culture of our territory, experiencing new flavors by tasting Sicilian wines, fresh fish, crudités, and Palermo finger food. 4 Isola delle Femmine Nature Reserve
Sailing further west, you can admire and swim around a picturesque uninhabited islet, just 300 meters from the coast. The Phoenicians, Greeks, and later the Romans used this small island as a reference point for navigation. On the island, there is a watchtower built during Spanish rule to protect the Sicilian coast from attacks by Saracen pirates.
