PROCEDURE:The proposed tour starts from your facility or from Parco la Quiete, the orange flag of the Italian Touring Club and included among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Going along a dirt road you pass through the natural oasis of Lake Castellaro, you go up the hill and down through the vineyards until you reach the orchards and olive groves of Volta Mantovana, you then go up into the village until you reach the castle built in the 11th century where inside you can refresh yourself while admiring the splendid gardens of Palazzo Gonzaga. The second stage is reached by climbing a hill full of orchards up to the Parish Church of S.Maria di Cavriana, a Romanesque building from the 11th century, where from the top of the hill the panorama extends up to the Apennines, after a short stop you set off again towards the center of Cavriana going up to the castle, where the walls that formed the defensive system and the tower remain. The third stop is the Rocca di Solferino, scene of the Second War of Independence, which can be reached from a gentle path in the undergrowth and from the arduous climb to the castle from where you can admire a fabulous panorama of Lake Garda and the villages below. The fourth stage can be reached entirely downhill along a secondary road where you will find refreshment in the cellar for the tasting of DOC wines including: Lugana, Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon with some appetizers.
